I have a 1991 regal with an L67 swap. I just got done putting a S1X cam in it and I want to do a manual trans. Right now I have a 4T60 with 3.42 Final drive, 3500Stall converter, LSD.
I am running OBD1 and aside from the tranny and clutch, what else will I need? Will all the linkage, cables, pedal, ect work? Will my axels work? I need a full list so I can get everything needed. Also will there need to be different tuning afer the swap? Do they come with an LSD and can you play with gear ratios?
Thanks,
Deia |

I just got the transmission today. I have never had or worked on a manual car. Can sommeone help me out with a list to get? I will start on one and if someone can help me finish it.
f40 clutch/pressure plate
3800 camaro flywheel
2006 G6 CV axles
G6 linkage and pedal
G6 shifter
G6 clutch master cylinder
G6 Slave cylinder
If anyone can tell me if I need anything else and if anyone knows the mesurements for the flywheel thickness at all. Thanks, Deia |

i assum eits the same as the cavalier spec brian can you confirm it
if so its .84" the machine shop will be taking about a 1/4" off make sure hes aware cause they all get worried when taking that much off
not 100% sure if the F40 uses that spec, best thing to do is take both the camero and the G6 Flywheel to him and say make this one (camero) the same spec as this one (G6) |

| Ok, I will keep that in mind. Thanks for the info. I still need all of the parts list, so if anyone has something for sale or knows someone that would be great. I only have the transmission right now. I would like to start this project by the beginning of the month if possible. I will take detailed pics of the whole process and possibly video too. I will include any measurements or custom fabrication steps in a write-up. It will be my first one so I'll do my best. I think if everything goes well it will be pretty helpful to the w-body community. I have wanted to do this before I did my motor swap. I did that all on my own (aside from the info I collected) and put my first cam in a few weeks ago, so if I do this project, I think a lot of people should be able to. Thanks for any info provided, Deia |

So a stock G6 clutch/pressureplate will work with a camaro 3800 flywheel is what I am gathering. I am wordering if anyone can set a sure answer on the amount to machine from the flywheel? I don't want to assume it's the same as a cavy swap unless someone knows it for sure. I am not doubting anyone, I just want a concrete answer if there is one. lol I am also wondering if there is a aftermarket clutch that would handle more power than stock. Thanks,

I just ordered a Camaro 3.8 manual flywheel, Zoom 50-6533, only 64.99 + shipping from Summit Racing. It DOES NOT have the same bolt pattern for the pressure plate of a 60* engine's clutch. I will be figuring this out for sure in the near future, but at the moment it seems I am going to use the 3800 flywheel and pressure plate, with the G6/F40 clutch disc. Hopefully there is correct clearance for the throwout bearing. Somebody correct me if I am wrong, but I read that the camaro flywheel needs to be machined .030 for proper clearance for use with a getrag 5-speed manual. Test fitting will be the test for the F40... _________________ 2000 GAGT coupe-3400 w/ 5-speed
