Anyone ever build up an aluminum block GM 3.4 V6?

There was a time when I was contemplating the insanity of getting one of those 3.4 aluminum blocks and the 1987-88 2.8 top end plus the crank, rods and pistons for the 3.4 and swapping it into a 1986 Cadillac Cimarron.

More power and an engine block that only weighs 30 pounds? (Before adding all the other parts of course.) Nothing wrong with that, just takes money.

Of course the neatest thing about that aluminum block is it has a dual set of mounting holes for RWD and FWD plus starter mounts on both sides.
